I am still in it to win it this week. Even after facing my first obstacle; a cold. I manned up and ran anyway. The break down of my week was as follows:
Sunday – 4 miles
Monday – 4 miles
Tuesday – 2 miles
Wednesday – 1.5
Thursday – 1.25
Friday – 1.25
Saturday – 4.0
My mileage took a hit mid-week when I was feeling particularly shitty, but I’m pretty proud of myself for lacing up my shoes anyway. Who else is still with me?

Go YOU and I love that you blogged this!!
That’s an awesome video! Love that you kept going even though you were sick. I’m still on the wagon too, although I have to be honest, if I was in the middle of a cold I’m not so sure I would have gotten on there. Yay for you and hopefully that will inspire me if a cold strikes our house too!
Oh, and PS: I’m down 5 freaking pounds the last two weeks….woohoo!
Congrats on the 5 lbs! I need to start adding the “diet” portion to diet & exercise!
I really think the committing publicly thing is what is driving me! I just hope I don’t get something worse!
Woman, you are amazing. For serious.
You rock, girl!
“I am not a pussy”
I stand corrected.
Kidding.
Love you.
cyber bully!
I’m not in and I feel like a lump. I’m not so tough with my cold.
But you are a rock star! Run Poppy Run!
Can’t see the vlog, I’ll check later.
Or really stupid.
Saw the vlog. Feeling like a pussy but I am going with that listen to your body thing.
Also going to the dr.
I’m pretty sure that’s a bottle of liquid Joy soap you are drinking there. And I’m fascinated that you are wearing gloves and long sleeves INSIDE while running!
I had the chills! Plus, my work-out room is located in the upstairs of our shop and though it does have heat I don’t turn it on when I run. It was only about 35 degrees in there.
I’m impressed…running while sick? That’s hardcore.
35 degrees? Shit.
And your mileage is kicking my ass…I’ll have to take it up a notch.
Will I get points for running in the rain?
Yes, but I get equal points – I live in WASHINGTON. Have you heard? It rains here too.
You CAN do this!
So impressed.
Thanks Tonya, I hope so!
I am still with you! Truth be told, I did miss one day when I was too busy crying for no good reason. But every other day I have either taken a yoga class or gone running or used the elliptical machine (because I’m a wuss about running in the dark and it’s dark by the time I get home.)
It feels great. I may have to go beyond 100 days. Why is it so much easier to keep going when you promise to do it every single day?
Just setting the goal does help. I hope to go beyond the 100 days too, but it sounded way too ambitious to say out loud. I’m 16 and strong right now.
Really? Four? It’s that deep for you? I’m two every day but only RUN one of them.
Every day but Saturday.
I’m such a slacker.
Otherwise I’m still with you my friend!!!!!!
Oh please. There aren’t many of us left so you’re doing awesome. If you didn’t know I run marathons and shit so 4 isn’t huge for me. The consistency is the hard part!
I have never run a mile in my life. I get winded running to the end of the block. YOU ARE A ROCK STAR. And I pity the fool that calls you a pussy. Although I think I’d like to be there because it would be pretty funny to watch you kick their ass.
I’d probably just laugh if someone called me a pussy. I’m the most non confrontational person in the world.
I hope you’re still doing this when I start double-bagging the milk jugs and get going again. Just went to the gym for the first time this weekend and started w/ the elliptical – does that count?
I’m impressed you can do 4 on back-to-back days. But then again, you do run marathons.
Overachiever.
You have a baby and a toddler, I bet you break a sweat getting to the gym.
so i’m putting this in all lowercase because it’s not that impressive but i decided to start running (at least one mile) every day starting today for at least 30 days.
i know. it’s not a long streak. but we go skiing every year in the winter and the spring and i was worried about committing to a 100 day #runstreak because there is no way i’m running in the snow. i know. pussy.
anyway, i have never in my life run even seven days in a row (i’ve always been a big believer in “rest” days) but i am inspired by you to try this and to get my writing mojo/passion/excitement back.
i read somewhere that you can break or adopt most habits (besides crack. duh.) in a month; so I figure 30 straight days of running will rearrange my brain. for the better. mostly.
so i’m now only on day one and i don’t know if i can even participate officially in #runstreak so late in january (i’ve always been a late bloomer) but still.
i am going to do it and i’ll hopefully be around to inspire you too. not that you need it.
running with alka-seltzer in your bottle? that’s hard core, lady.
feel better. and keep running.
one foot in front of the other…
I actually got to thinking about this when you told me Bill ran every day. Like you, I have never been consistent. When I’m training for a race, I always get my long runs in, but I totally slack on the shorter runs because I have shit to do. The reason I am doing this is because I really want it to be a habit. I’m so excited you’re signing up for 30. #Runstreak2012!
I hope you patted yourself on the back then drank a bottle of wine to celebrate. Or maybe Nyquil?
Each glass is equal to a mile!
I quite after 5 days. I’m still running, just not every day. It’s too damn cold, I hate the treadmill, and I don’t have time to drive to the indoor track on weekends. So there.
Why are you wearing gloves on the treadmill?
My work-out room is in our shop which does have floorboard heaters, but I don’t turn it on unless the kids are going to be out there with me. It was around 35 degrees, brrrr.
I’ve picked my nose each & every day.
Oh, I’ve also spent, at least, an hour in the gym. And I’ve run almost 20 miles in the past week.
Way to go! I tend to suffer from the mid week blues on my runs as well. One thing that has helped me get over the hump (insert wednesday joke here) is using fitness Apps as motivators.
Nike+ has been my best friend, because when I’m not running well or feeling tire, it gives me a little boost.
Keep up the good work!
